Big East Women's Basketball Tournament to use StatMonitr Media Stats

NEW YORK, NY -- The Big East Conference and StatBroadcast Systems have entered into a partnership to use the StatMonitr media stats system and stat monitors at the 2014 Big East Women's Basketball Tournament.

The 2014 Big East Women's Basketball Tournament begins on March 8th with two first round games at McGrath-Phillips Arena on the campus of DePaul University in Chicago. The quarterfinals, semifinals and championships continue March 9 - 11 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The winner of the tournament earns the conference's automatic berth in the 2014 NCAA Division-I Women's Baasketball Championship Tournament.

The Big East Conference was established in 2013 with seven members of the original Big East Conference, which was founded in 1979, along with three new members that joined in August of last year. Among the Big East's membership are current StatBroadcast partner universities DePaul, Villanova, Creighton and Xavier. The Big East's footprint stretches across nine states in the midwestern and northeastern United States and the conference's headquarters is located in Times Square in Manhattan.
